About JankariTools.in

Har Sawal Ki Sahi Jankari aur Tools.

JankariTools.in is a free, independent reference tool for everyday Indian banking and postal lookups — IFSC codes, MICR codes, pincodes, and post office details — built to be fast, accurate, and free of the clutter and dead ends common on similar sites. Our IFSC directory currently covers 1,80,425+ bank branches across India.

Our data, and where it comes from

IFSC and bank branch data is compiled from the Reserve Bank of India's published NEFT and RTGS participant lists, cross-referenced against NPCI's NACH live-member records for banks not directly listed by RBI. This is the same open, public-domain dataset maintained by Razorpay's IFSC toolset (MIT-licensed code, public-domain data — see github.com/razorpay/ifsc for the full source list), which we ingest and re-validate ourselves rather than proxying live. Pincode and post office data is sourced from India Post's public postal directory. Both are open datasets, used under their respective terms — we don't scrape competitor sites or fabricate entries.

How we process and verify it

  1. Source files are ingested through an automated pipeline that validates every row against the actual format rules for IFSC codes (11 characters: 4-letter bank code, a fixed zero, 6-character branch code) and 6-digit pincodes — malformed rows are rejected rather than silently included.
  2. Duplicate and conflicting entries are detected and resolved programmatically before publishing, rather than left for a reader to stumble onto two contradictory records for the same code.
  3. Every branch and post office page is regenerated from this validated dataset — we don't hand-write individual branch pages, which would be impossible to keep accurate at this scale, but every page is built directly from the same verified source records, not guessed or interpolated.
  4. The dataset is refreshed when updated source files from RBI and India Post are incorporated and the site is redeployed. Banking data changes over time — branches merge, close, or occasionally change codes — so we recommend confirming directly with your bank before relying on any code for a large or time-sensitive transfer.

What we are, and are not

We are an independent, privately-run information resource. We are not a bank, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the Reserve Bank of India, India Post, the Government of India, or any bank listed in this directory. We do not process, hold, or transmit money on anyone's behalf — this site is a reference lookup tool only.
